Hi Dani... Thanks for the suggestion. Pandan.ph is not really finished yet. It took me sometime to revise it and didn't want to just update without changing the code from HTML to PHP. I also have free hosted sites at geocities where the maps are shown, but I didn't take or transfer those maps there because I would like to have nicer ones. I got a lot of maps from Pandan LGU and until now I haven't put everything at pandan.gov.ph yet. I also don't want to duplicate www.pandan.gov.ph as much as possible. I already have an idea for both www.pandan.ph and www.pandan.gov.ph but I'm too busy. I'm too busy revising the sites from HTML to XHTML and PHP so it's easier for me to update them. I can only revise or update one site at a time.

These are my old sites at www.geocities.com

Pandan Antique Homepage
http://www.geocities.com/gopandan/
Maps
http://www.geocities.com/gopandan/philippines_map.html
http://www.geocities.com/gopandan/panay_map.html

Pandan Antique Information Site
http://www.geocities.com/pandanantique/
Maps
http://www.geocities.com/pandanantique/maps.html

I'm actually still on the process of transferring some of the data from those sites to either www.pandan.ph or www.pagtatap.org or where the data is appropriate. You can also check the sites listed at my www.pandan-antique.com (not yet finished) where I have the list of all the sites I created including the free hosted sites. You can just imagine how many sites I'm trying to maintain. The reason why I'm not deleting those sites? They were all indexed by a lot of search engines, so, I try to at least update them once in a while, just not to lose the rank. Actually, I'm slowly losing it. These two sites used to be on the first page, number 1 and 2 at google if you search "pandan" but not anymore. With "pandan antique", still ok.

Anyway, again, thanks. Your suggestion is greatly appreciated.

I have another suggestion for the Pandan site. Under maybe the geography section, I think that it would be nice to have a link to a map showing where it is located. Using http://www.mapcentral.ph, for example, you could make it easier for visitors to see where exactly in the Philippines it is located, pointing to a map where Pandan is highlighted. For example, I had no idea where Pandan was located, even after reading the text description, until I went to mapcentral where I could zoom in on the location. When I hear the name "Antique", I think of relics, "Pandan" sounds like Panda's in China, "Aklan" sounds to me like someone's name and "San Jose de Buenavista" sounds like some place in Spain!

Hi Dani... I saw the site www.asiamart.ch and it looks good. It's actually neat and easy to navigate. Anyway, if you visited www.pandan.gov.ph site, under the menu Economy submenu Industry, you probably read that a cooperative in Pandan is into Buri-Bariw (native raw materials, native products) bag making. It's a small business and the bags, that the members of the cooperative are making, have good quality. I just don't know if they're willing to ship because I also don't know how they do their business. We actually went to their small shop the last time I was in Pandan but didn't ask anything about the business. Next time I go there, I'll ask them.

Hi Sofie... The reason why I was looking for a list of businesses is because we are experimenting with the idea of selling products from the Philippines to people in Switzerland. Thus, I'm in the process of creating a store at asiamart.ch. If you visit that site, I have to warn you. It's still under construction so it doesn't look very good yet. If you know of a nice little shop in Pandan which sells some unique products and would be willing to ship to Switzerland, let me know. Right now, we are just in the process of examing the market and designing the site.

Hi Dani... my first reaction? I was really laughing. I actually just removed the directory and the sublinks under links just when you are looking for them. I was not able to list anything in those pages so I removed them. I hope to be able to put them back if ever I will be able to make the list. Every time I go home to Pandan, I couldn't do it as I just try to enjoy my vacation. :) I really would like to list the businesses but since there's not really a lot, I guess I just neglected it. But hope to do something about it soon.

You can check the official website of Pandan though at http://www.pandan.gov.ph - there's a little bit of information about Pandan's economy and ecotourism but there's really no list of businesses. I also designed that site.

This is a very nice site. I only have one complaint. I was looking for a list of businesses and manufacturers in Pandan but couldn't find one. It would be interesting to see what items one can buy from that region.
